I purchased the Eureka vacuum about one month ago. This is a very powerful but heavy vacuum. It picks up quite well on both rug and bare floor. The only problem that I have experienced is with the tool rack. One of the tools falls off fairly frequently and will not stay on the machine when jostled. I have found that changing from rug to floor is quite easy. If you lower the handle to the floor before making the change, the foot pedal switch is easily moved to the correct position. That said,the machine is well worth its cost despite the tool problem.

I bought this vacuum at least one year ago and it still works well. For the money, it's a good value. Two negatives: heavy, especially when carrying up stairs; and the bare floor/rug switch is difficult to switch without a struggle. No big deal, though. I'm pleased with this purchase.

I bought this vacuum because it was highly rated for picking up dog hair. However, I learned that it does not like vacuuming up dog 'undercoat type fuzz.' The vacuum constantly gets clogged and the bag falls off. It may be great for regular dog or cat hair, but not this type. I must agree that it's got great suction and the carpets look fantastic after vacuuming. So -- for me it's either get another type vacuum that will work on 'undercoat' or get a new dog!

This vacuum cleans well but my wife says that its way to heavy for her. So for all of you wives out there, if you want your husband to help vacuum the house, buy this one!!! The price was great and she is getting used to it.

Delivery was fast, vacuum works fine, easy assembly, it is a little heavy , do not recommend carrying up and down stairs, but works fine, does a very good job.
